Egat, PTT seek new heads amid transition


EGAT's floating solar power farm, with a capacity of 45 megawatts, at Sirindhorn Dam in Ubon Ratchathani province. Prasert Sinsukprasert, permanent secretary of the Energy Ministry, said the selection of a new Egat governor is expected to be finalised by the State Enterprises Policy Office in February. They are Thepparat Theppitak, Egat deputy governor and president of Electricity Generating Plc, the power generation arm of Egat, as well as three other deputy Egat governors: Thidade Eiamsai, Jiraporn Sirikum and Nitus Voraphonpiput. PTT is also selecting a new leader as its president and chief executive Auttapol Rerkpiboon is scheduled to retire in May. Candidates include Buranin Rattanasombat, PTT's senior executive vice-president for new business and infrastructure, Kongkrapan Intarajang, chief executive and president of PTT Global Chemical, the petrochemical arm of PTT, and Worawat Pitayasiri, chief executive and president of Global Power Synergy, the power generation arm of PTT.
