These eerie images show dozens of dilapidated houses which have formed the 'most abandoned' neighbourhood in Detroit. The modest properties were once loved family homes in a bustling city but now have smashed windows, grime-covered interiors and exteriors coated in vines. The roof of this detached house in Detroit sags after years of neglect which has seen the front yard start growing onto the porch. The overgrown neighbourhood of Grixdale is on the north side of Detroit. Aside from the decaying homes captured by Ioanna lie over 1,000 other dilapidated buildings which have been left to rot.
