Educational institutions whose classroom activities had remained suspended due to a heatwave reopened on Sunday with the weather becoming somewhat bearable due to rainfall the last couple of days. All classes at primary and secondary schools as well as ebtedayee madrasas will take place as usual starting Sunday. Students will refrain from other activities including playing outdoors at their educational institutions. The government on June 4 decided to shut down all primary schools across Bangladesh from June 5 to June 8 due to the severe heatwave. With Friday and Saturday being the weekends, schools reopened on Sunday after nearly a week.
