The President will be receiving the much-awaited report of the Presidential Working Party on Education Reforms [PWPER]. Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu said on Wednesday that the report is now ready for handover to the Head of State this week. Without giving the finer details of the report, Machogu said the report has captured all the views of stakeholders who made presentations before the PWPER team. At the same time, Machogu hinted at a new policy pronouncement on the funding of public universities. The working party has recommended that students in public universities pay tuition fees depending on the institution they attend.
