PETALING JAYA: The Education Ministry is considering proposals on how to improve the matriculation system in the country, including solving the problem of the quota system, says its minister Dr Maszlee Malik (pic). Highlighting a meeting he had with DAP Youth chief Howard Lee a few weeks ago, Maszlee said he was open to suitable ideas to raise the quality and the education system in Malaysia holistically. He said during the discussion, Lee gave him five suggestions. Maszlee said that concrete ideas would encourage more discussions for the good of the people and efforts such as from Lee would help the ministry achieve their best for Malaysian children. "I would like to thank him for coming forward in a polite way to give his suggestions to help the ministry," he said, adding that Lee displayed political maturity.
