(DAYMOND STEER PHOTO)ALBANY — Commissioner of Education Frank Edelblut described his push for hands-on learning and the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in defense of religious liberty Friday evening at a constitutional convention created by two local teenagers. Governor Chris Sununu nominated Edelblut, of Wilton, to become education commissioner in January. Edelblut said he's pleased to be the education commissioner, a job that involves overseeing public and charter schools kindergarten-12. The commissioner went on to describe how he'd like to see education evolve from the industrial age to the 21 century age of information. "One of the things that needs to shift is personalization of education," said Edelblut.
