PUTRAJAYA: The Education Ministry's Education Performance and Delivery Unit (Padu) has mooted more holistic human development programmes for Malaysian schools to combat social ills among students. Its chief executive officer Khadijah Abdullah said aside from academic achievement, more focus should be given to the students' outcome. "Children dropping out of school is one of the areas that Padu needs to focus on. We need to give them alternative education so that they don't get into crime," Khadijah told reporters during a press briefing in her office today.
