SHAH ALAM: The media should focus on creating more educational content that will spread “positive vibes”, says Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik. He said journalists should use their writing to educate the public instead of “sensationalising” news to gain readership. “Their writing should spread positive vibes that will build and develop a civilised society,” he said when launching the Read@Uni programme at UiTM on Thursday (Nov 29). He added that the media should not focus on catchy headlines that create controversy. “A developed nation cannot be formed if it doesn’t have a young generation that is (morally) balanced, mature, and highly knowledgeable,” he added.
