General News of Friday, 8 June 2018Source: ghananewsagency.orgEducation Minister urges JHS finalists to use time profitablyMrs Barbara Asher Ayisi, Deputy Minister of EducationMrs Barbara Asher Ayisi, Deputy Minister of Education in charge of Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET), has called on candidates of the just ended Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) to use time profitably while awaiting the results. She urged the students to focus on their next level of education, adding that “there is a big World over there. You must be able to manage your time well, acquire a skill and use your time profitably”. Mrs Ayisi urged them to desist from engaging in premarital sex because they could be exposed to the dangers of teenage pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. She called for laws that would prevent children of school going age from roaming in town in the night.
