Edo trains 150 Libyan returnees

EDO State governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki has assured the 150 Libyan returnees currently undergoing training of his administration’s commitment to equip them with the requisite skills for a better future. Obaseki, who gave the assurance after a review of the ongoing training programme for the returnees at the Agricultural Development Programme (ADP) in Benin City, urged them to look forward to a future in which they will be employers of labour. He advised the returnees not to dwell on their past mistakes, as it is only human to make mistakes. The 10-day training was flagged off by the Commissioner for Agriculture, Hon Monday Osaigbovo, last week. The commissioner said it was part of the government’s effort in engaging youths in the productive venture and to stem illegal migration.
