Alexander Okere, BeninResidents of Evbuotubu community, in the Egor Local Government Area of Edo State, on Monday staged a protest over the deplorable state of infrastructure in the area. The angry residents, who carried placards, lamented that the community, said to be the second most populous in the area, had allegedly been neglected for too long. The protesters also warned political parties planning to organise their campaigns in the area to steer clear until the needs of the residents were provided. The protest grounded commercial activities and traffic in the area temporarily as some of the youths chanted anti-government songs.
