Jason Kakaire, 29, has appeared in court today accused of attempting to kill five people in four days in Edmonton between March 30 and April 2 by stabbing them in the back. Appearing at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court today, Kakaire spoke only to give his name, address, national insurance number, and British nationality. Kakaire, who appeared in court wearing short dark hair, light facial hair, and a grey tracksuit, stared blankly throughout the hearing. The defendant, of Edmonton, was remanded in custody to next appear at the Old Bailey on May 3.
