EDMONTON — Organizers of an annual marathon say it’s scheduled to go ahead as planned, despite a lingering haze in the city due to smoke plumes from wildfires originating in British Columbia. The Servus Edmonton Marathon will take place as scheduled on Sunday, organizers said in a statement on Saturday, but noted that the children’s run will be postponed.
