This in from TSN’s Darren Dreger, his notion that for the Edmonton Oilers to move Milan Lucic to Vancouver for Loui Eriksson, the Oilers would have to add a “sweetener.”Dreger said there could be a fit between the two teams. We’ve also heard Lucic muse about a return to Vancouver, which is a key given that he has a No Movement Clause. Both Eriksson and Lucic make $6.0 million per year, but Eriksson has just three years left on his deal, while Lucic has four years left. I’m not sure I buy that the Oilers will add a sweetener, or should add one. It strikes me that Lucic could be an asset for the Canucks, but I’m unconvinced about Eriksson with the Oilers.
