Bakersfield moves puck around with skill, arrogance evenAt this time last year Ethan Bear was in the National Hockey League, playing regularly for the Edmonton Oilers. I have watched a handful of AHL games this year, and tuned into Wednesday’s game, a 5-2 thrashing of the Ontario Reign. Most importantly, Bear looks like he’s moving faster and reading the game better on defence, much better, in fact. In fact, if there’s one thing that exemplifies this Bakersfield team it’s their ability to pass around the puck. Only one other AHL team, the Charlotte Checkers, has a higher winning percentage than Bakersfield this year.
