According to President’s Spokesman Kingsley Rathnayaka, this centre resembles the concept of the White House’s media centre, and would soon be open to journalists from all media institutions. It is obvious that there is a lack of direct communication between the Government’s and the President’s activities. The country is yet to see how this media centre works; however, if done right, it can bridge the existing gap between the country’s leader and the public.
