★★★★☆The 21st century hasn’t been overburdened with great protest albums but Anohni’s Hopelessness is one of them, a series of caustic diatribes against Barack Obama, drone warfare and, above all, environmental destruction, sung in her liquid vibrato and set to the electronica of Hudson Mohawke and Oneohtrix Point Never (aka Daniel Lopatin).
