One fan wrote in defence: “I’m seeing a lot of cruelty directed at Eddie Izzard for asking politely for people to use she/her pronouns. Eddie has been happy with she/her pronouns for years. If I am in boy mode then 'he' or girl mode 'she.' I have boy mode and girl mode.
