"There is a complaint pending before the Election Commission of India challenging the validity of the appointment of V K Sasikala as party general secretary. "Edappadi knows that Dhinakaran will not attempt to bring down the government. Hence he is not ready to budge,'' said a former minister.Perundurai MLA and Dhinakaran supporter Thoppu Venkatachalam said Dhinakaran was not interested in nurturing a separate faction. "It is wrong to say Dhinakaran wants to nurture a separate faction by giving party posts to his supporters. New office-bearers have been appointed to revive the party and infuse fresh blood,'' said venkatachalam, who has been appointed as party organizing secretary.
