Desalegn made the remarks during a discussion held with Ethiopian ambassadors, diplomats and senior heads of the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. According to Desalegn, economic diplomacy, along with regional peace and security issues, is given major priority concern as far as the east African country's foreign relations is concerned. The premier also stressed his country's other priority targets, which mainly aspires regional peace and security targets. He also indicated the need to work with research institutes so as to strengthen the country's public diplomacy endeavors to bring together intellectuals, businesspersons, investors and the public with Ethiopia's foreign relations.
