The party characterised the attacks as provocative and contrary to international law, and accused Israel and the United States of acting in concert. Turning to the role of Washington, the EFF said the United States had effectively become a proxy for Israeli interests and had entered conflicts without congressional approval. It argued that this had led to diplomatic and economic pressure being applied to countries that criticise Israel, and claimed that United States foreign policy was shaped primarily in Israel’s interests. The party said Israeli citizens should recognise what it described as the role of their government in provoking conflict.
