EcoWaste warns on toys with high lead content 0 SHARES Share it! Share TweetBy Chito ChavezEcoWaste Coalition, the toxic watch dog warned the public on the proliferation of lead-laced discounted gift items and similar consumer products being openly sold in the market. In its routine inspection, the organization has discovered holiday gift items sold below P150 that consumers should avoid due to their undisclosed lead content. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Administrative Order 2013-24 prohibits lead and lead compounds in the production of children’s toys and sets a 90 parts per million (ppm) total lead content limit for lead in paint. Dizon said these items provided no information and warning about their lead content, and were all inadequately labeled.
