EasyJet Chief Executive Carolyn McCall in July called the conditions the airline was having to fly through “one of the most difficult periods” in years. The financial impact of the weak currency is a cut in profit of around £90 million, the airline said. EasyJet carried 73.1 million passengers in 12 months to end-September, up 6.6% from the year prior.
