Relating Tuesday how he was conned, Wong said he attended a job interview on Jan 12 after answering an advertisement from a "Mr Matthew", who was looking for a salesman. At the interview with a man named Jason, Wong was told that all he had to do was open bank accounts for an online football gambling service. Wong agreed, thinking that it was easy money to make on the side. He provided four bank accounts and ATM cards, created three new ones and revived an old unused account. After being released, Wong immediately closed all his bank accounts, but by then, all that was left was just RM20 in each account.
