Awad Al-Badri, the Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energies of the eastern based Libyan (unrecognised by most of the international community), met in Benghazi with the management of the Turkish company Cora Energy last Monday. Cora specialises in designing, supplying, and installing solar power stations using photovoltaic panels. He introduced ‘‘the ambitious national programme for localizing solar power stations across Libya, explaining the vision and goals of the project. The meeting aligns with the eastern ministry’s plan to transition to the use of renewable energies. The eastern government reported that Cora Energy provided a concise visual presentation about its general activities and past projects executed worldwide.
