Tanya returned from Exeter to pick up Abi, Lauren and Louie to take them back to hers to spend Christmas with Oscar. After waiting long enough, Tanya went off to get Abi herself, setting up a dramatic showdown with her ex. There were a lot of throwbacks to the infamous 2007 Christmas episode, where the Branning family took centre stage for the festive drama. During a press screening of the Christmas episode, EastEnders producer John Yorke revealed that Jo had to film the dramatic scenes while starring in another project.
