Thousands of people reported feeling the short, sharp earthquake. A magnitude 3.6 earthquake has been felt around the Wellington region. The small quake hit at 7.46pm on Sunday evening, 10km southwest of Paraparaumu at a depth of 44km. More than 5000 people reported feeling the quake on GeoNet.
