A 5.9 magnitude earthquake has rocked Milford Sound on Thursday morning. Geonet has reported the shake occurred at 10.20am, and was at a depth of 5km. It was centered 40km west of Milford Sound, and the shaking was moderate close to the quake. There have been more than 3000 felt reports, with most reporting shaking as weak or light.
