A magnitude 4.6 earthquake was reported Wednesday evening at 8:59 p.m. Pacific time 32 miles from Ridgecrest, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The earthquake occurred 58 miles from California City, 59 miles from Porterville, 65 miles from Lindsay and 67 miles from Bakersfield.
