For an hour on Saturday night, the world will go dark as part of Earth Hour. The likes of the Eiffel Tower, Sydney Opera House, Empire State Building and Burj Khalifa have helped enact change with this simple movement. Earth Hour is a partnership between WWF and the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity, who have also created the Connect2Earth platform. Along with a number of world-famous landmarks, Paris' Eiffel Tower has previously gone dark as part of Earth Hour. A number of people and businesses in New Zealand have already begun adopting change to benefit the environment and reduce waste.
