Johnny EdwardSuper Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo is pleased to have scored the winner for Nigeria in their 1-0 win over Guinea on Wednesday at the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt but insists winning the game was more important. Omeruo rose higher than the Guinean defence to head in the winner for the Eagles with 17 minutes left to play. The goal was Omeruo’s first for Nigeria in 45 appearances since he made his debut in 2013. Nigeria became the first team to qualify for the last 16 of the tournament. They face Madagascar in their final group game on Sunday.
