Mali, Guinea, Namibia and the winners between Liberia and Chad in the 2021 AFCON preliminary qualifiers have been pooled in Group A while in Group B, Burkina Faso, Uganda, Malawi and the winners of South Sudan and Seychelles preliminary qualifiers will battle for the two automatic spots. Group C houses Ghana, South Africa, Sudan and the winners of Mauritius and Sao Tome in the preliminary qualifiers. DR Congo, Gabon, Angola and the victors from the clash involving Gambia and Djibouti in the AFCON preliminary qualifiers will battle for the two qualification spots in Group D.Morocco, Mauritania, Central Africa and 2019 AFCON debutants Burundi are in Group E while Group F sees hosts Cameroon take on Cape Verde, Mozambique and Rwanda. Group J houses Tunisia, Libya, Tanzania and Equatorial Guinea while Group K has Ivory Coast, Niger, Madagascar and Ethiopia.
