However, their friendship was strained when Belushi's new manager, whom Morris believes was racist, started to meddle in their relationship. Morris feels strongly that this manager played a significant role in blocking opportunities for him after he left Saturday Night Live, leading to a period of struggle in his career where the actor was forced to appear in numerous horror films. Having faced racial discrimination, Morris gained substantial roles again when the unnamed manager passed away, and he got involved with shows like "The Jeffersons," "Martin," and later worked with Jamie Foxx.
