Laguna Police Provincial Director Col. Eleazar Matta, said Leodigario Recide alias Odec, of Siniloan, Laguna was collared in his rented unit at Babaan Apartment, 2nd Street, Jubilee Subdivision, Barangay Sampaloc, Pagsanjan, Laguna by agents of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Pagsanjan Police and PDEA 4A. Matta said when the suspect sensed that he was transacting with a police poseur-buyer, he fired upon the police officer, trigerring a firefight. Recovered from him was a sachet of shabu and a caliber .45 pistol. An informant said Recide was involved in the illegal drug trade in the Fourth District of Laguna and disposes of at least 50 grams of shabu weekly in Siniloan and Pagsanjan.
