EU to Help Rebuild Roads Connecting Eritrean Ports to EthiopiaFebruary 8, 2019 (Ezega.com) - The European Union (EU) will help rebuild roads connecting Eritrean ports to Ethiopia border towns, according to report from FBC. The Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development of EU, Neven Mimica, is visiting Eritrea today. He met President Isaias Afewerki of Eritrea to launch a project to rebuild the road connecting Ethiopian border with Eritrean ports with initial investment of €20 million. According to Commissioner Mimica “The European Union is committed to support Eritrea and Ethiopia in delivering their historic peace agreement, which ended twenty years of conflict. To back this, we are launching a €20 million programme to rebuild the roads connecting both countries.
