more-inA family of a patient beat up and tore the clothes of a senior doctor working at the ESI hospital in Rajajinagar accusing him of delaying treatment on Monday. Dr. Madhusoodhan, a casualty medical officer, attended to the patient and administered nebulization and prescribed some medicine. Angry, the family, including two women, attacked Dr. Madhsoodhan for allegedly delaying treatment and left the hospital with the patient. Dr. Madhsoodhan, who collapsed after the attack, is said to be under a state of shock and is being treated at the hospital. Dr. Jitendra Kumar, Dean of ESI hospital, said though the police are taking strict action against such acts, its was unfortunate that doctors were being attacked for no fault of theirs.
