EPU, UKAS cut ties with companies which had sponsored Bersih rallies

KUALA LUMPUR: The Economic Planning Unit (EPU) and the Public Private Partnership Unit (UKAS) have identified several companies which had sponsored the Bersih movement. As such, the EPU and UKAS will no longer be doing business with them. Yesterday, Rahman was quoted as saying that companies receiving government contracts but support illegal assemblies to topple government will be blacklisted. He said he would instruct the EPU and UKAS to review the backgrounds of these companies. Awang had said there were pro-Bersih companies and entrepreneurs that had received government businesses and contracts but had sponsored several Bersih rallies.
