EPF to increase global asset allocation to 32pct [NSTTV]


KUALA LUMPUR: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) is eyeing to increase its global asset allocation to 32 per cent from 28 per cent last year. Its chief executive officer Datuk Shahril Ridza Ridzuan said EPF's global investments currently stood at RM221.56 billion last year. "Our global return of investment (ROI) was slightly lower in 2017 at 10.89 per cent compared to 11.31 per cent the year before. In 2017, EPF's fixed income, equity, real estate and infrastructure and money market recorded 10.3 per cent, 8 per cent, 9.2 per cent and -10.3 per cent growth respectively. On Saturday, EPF declared a dividend of 6.90 per cent for Simpanan Konvensional (conventional savings) for 2017, with total payout of RM44.15 billion.
