Christopher Tambungan broke his silence on Thursday regarding the tension between the Marikina City Police and Marikina City Mayor Marcelino Teodoro. “His actions of withdrawing the support to the Marikina City Police is wrong since a part of the annual budget of Marikina City allocated for peace and order renders support to Marikina City Police,” Tambungan said in Filipino. The EPD chief stressed that “nobody can revoke” the assignment of Maranan “except the chief PNP” himself. “As a matter of fact, P130 million has been allocated by our city government to construct the (City) PNP Headquarters.
