The miniature cube satellite, named EIRSAT-1, was deployed at 8pm this evening at the Vandenberg Space Force Base in California aboard a Falcon 9 SpaceX rocket. The satellite was student-built at University College Dublin under the guidance of European Space Agency (ESA).
