The main competition is expected between opposition alliance leader Raila Odinga, who offers his papers on Monday, and President Uhuru Kenyatta whose turn comes on Monday. It is essential the institutions tasked with preparing for the election get their act together and ensure that all systems are put in place before polling day. It cannot be lost on observers that the 2007 post-election crisis that claimed hundreds of lives came at the end of an election that was incompetently handled by the electoral commission. WELL RUN POLLSKenyans will be hoping the IEBC delivers on a credible and well run election in 2017.
