: Rejecting Balochistan government’s request for eight-month delay in local government (LG) elections, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday ordered timely conduct of polls as per the announced schedule. Balochistan chief secretary, advocate general and secretaries of law and municipalities had urged the commission to postpone the LG elections by November.
