Formed in 2014 to serve as the commanding height of all youth movements in West Africa, William said the organization has made monumental gains and achievements since its formation. He said the EYC has been at the vanguard of promoting international understanding, creating framework for intercultural dialogue and supporting the diversity of ideas and practices among ECOWAS youths and students mission. “EYC stands for integration of ECOWAS youths and students irrespective of their culture and origin. We advocate for students, youths rights, improvement of equity, democratization and equal access to education for all,” he said. Responding, Haruna thanked the youth organisation for taking their time to study what he has been doing, saying it is obvious whatever one does, either good or bad, people are there watching.
