It is now set to reduce its workforce by 20%, or 62 roles, as it grapples with a whopping 100-million pound (SL Rs. 23.7 billion) loss due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the international media reported on Tuesday (15). The amount could rise to 200 million pound if the pandemic disrupts the 2021 summer as well, ECB’s chief executive officer Tom Harrison has said.
