According to the circular, two different kinds of budgets will be allocated - one for operational purpose, and one for development. The circular said a budget of Tk310 crore will be allocated for conducting election, Tk479 crore for Election Commission’s operational cost - including wages and census, and around TK1,150 for development purpose. In total, it comes to around a budget of Tk1,939 crore. Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal is set to place the national budget for the fiscal year 2019-2020 in the upcoming parliamentary session on June 13.
