Errington Cheese, in South Lanarkshire, is recalling a batch of Dunsyre Blue after listeria monocytogenes were foundA cheesemaker linked to a fatal outbreak of E. coli poisoning is at the centre of another recall, this time over listeria fears. Errington Cheese, in South Lanarkshire, is recalling a batch of Dunsyre Blue after listeria monocytogenes were found by a wholesaler. Dunsyre Blue is an unpasteurised cows’ milk cheese that was linked to an outbreak of E.coli that claimed the life of a three-year-old girl last year. Health agencies said that the cheese was the likely source of an outbreak of 26 cases of E. coli but Errington denied this. The Crown Office later said that there was no evidence available to link the cheese with the child’s death.
