Mr. Surendra Mohan said the benefit would be extended to 2.32 lakh farmers in 279 villages of the 23 mandals in Suryapet. In the case of bed-ridden/physically disabled owners, Mr. Surendra Mohan said the cheques would be delivered at their doorstep with the help of Rythu Samanvaya Samithi coordinators and officials’ authorisation. The Rythu Bandhu scheme will be launched in all districts constituting erstwhile undivided Adilabad at 11.15 am on Thursday. Ms. Divya said those farmers who have rights pattas under Forest Rights Act will be handed cheques worth over ₹200 crore. GADA special officer M. Hanumanth Rao, Gajwet RDO Vijayender Reddy, DCP Narasimha Reddy were present.
