Invergordon Fire Station said the property was a total loss despite the best efforts of crews. The blaze at the single-storey house near Ardross was called in at 3.47pm yesterday, according to the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS). The SFRS declined to confirm the exact address of the blaze which was described by Invergordon Fire Station as "ear Ardross". Invergordon reported that both pumps were mobilised to the fire and that crews worked tirelessly to extinguish the "well-developed" blaze. It reported: "Despite the efforts of crews from Invergordon and Dingwall the property was a total loss."
