In the middle of his speech during the groundbreaking of the passenger terminal of the Ozamiz Airport, Duterte called Philippine National Police chief Oscar Albayalde to ask the return of Supt. Jovie Espenido to Ozamiz. Espenido was the city’s police chief when Parojinog and 14 others were killed in a series of raids in 2017. He said Espenido’s mission would be to “obliterate the son-of-a-b—h clan of the mayor.”“You Parojinogs, I will wipe you from the face of the Earth,” Duterte said.
