PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte would soon bar his Cabinet officials from attending the Senate inquiry into the alleged misuse of Covid-19 response funds. "I want Cabinet members to focus on Covid-19. Cabinet members will not be arrested for refusing an invitation to attend the Senate probe of the Duterte administration's pandemic deals, Senate President Vicente Sotto 3rd said on Friday. "If ever they are ordered, as alter egos of the President, the Cabinet members will not be ordered arrested. The blue ribbon committee headed by Gordon has been holding a series of hearings to look into the alleged misuse of Covid-19 pandemic funds worth more than P67 billion.
